About me
Hello, I hope to get a chance to meet you during this event. A little about me: I have been improvising since 1992, when I joined a troupe at Emerson College where I got my BFA in acting. I attended UC Davis, where I got my MFA in theater and devising with a focus on performance. I have had the amazing luck to study and perform with some wonderful improvisers over the years, including Thr I'd, BATS Improv in San Francisco, impro theater in Los Angeles, and Second City Hollywood. I have been teaching for about twenty five years. I am currently an adjunct professor in improv and acting at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I started the Baton Rouge Improv Comedy Festival. I am currently on a little break after a six-year run. I am the founder of Yes And Innovations, (www.yes andinnovations.com) @yesandin on instagram We offers a program that completely overhauls an organization's culture by improving the skills of all the members. Some call it...professional development, team building, leadership, and problem-solving skills. We are using a combination of applied improvisation, neuroscience, and performance psychology that we call Neurospontaneity. I am still performing improv with my partner, Cindy Carter, another thirty-year improviser. We call ourselves The Overeducated. We once got to perform with Kevin McDonald from Kids in the Hall. That was an awesome show. But every show with Cindy is amazing. If you see us, you notice we always like to put in a dance number.
